Ms. Amara practices in Riker Danzig’s Corporate Group where she helps counsel clients on a wide array of corporate issues, including fiduciary duties, dissenting shareholder rights and corporate indemnification. In addition, Ms. Amara has experience assisting clients in various stages of asset, stock, merger and joint venture transactions. She also continues to play a vital role for clients in the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts.
As part of Riker Danzig’s Intellectual Property practice area, Ms. Amara has worked with clients on numerous technology agreements, including SAAS and other cloud computing contracts. She has also advised clients in connection with intellectual property disputes and federal trademark registration.
Ms. Amara received her law degree, summa cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School where she was a member of the Notre Dame Law Review and a volunteer with the Small Business Pro Bono Project. She was the recipient of the Hoynes Prize, the highest honor bestowed by Notre Dame Law School. The Prize recognizes the law student who is first in their class, for outstanding “scholarship, application, deportment, and achievement.” Ms. Amara received her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Boston College. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Amara was a legal assistant with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP of New York where she worked in the M&A and Corporate Governance practice areas.
