Mark E. Hall

Partner

Mark Hall is a partner in Riker Danzig’s Bankruptcy and Reorganization Group. His practice focuses on all aspects of bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights, bankruptcy litigation and related commercial litigation, including the representation of debtors, creditors committees, financial institutions, secured lenders, unsecured creditors and other parties in interest in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy/reorganization cases.

Prior to joining the firm, Mark served as a Judicial Law Clerk and a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Novalyn L. Winfield, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the District of New Jersey. While pursuing his law degree, Mark was Editor-in-Chief of the Rutgers Computer & Technology Law Journal and was the graduation student speaker for his class.

Mark was formerly an intern for the Office of the Governor, writing speeches for Governor Christine Todd Whitman while participating in the Eagleton Institute of Politics’ Undergraduate Associates Program.

Mark has been counted among the top bankruptcy and creditor-debtors rights lawyers by Best Lawyers in America®, a peer review of U.S. Lawyers.  Law & Politics magazine has named Mark one of New Jersey’s Super Lawyers "Rising Stars" in the area of bankruptcy law since 2008. In 2010, the New Jersey Law Journal named Mark to its annual "40 Under 40" list which recognizes the state's young attorneys for their impressive achievements and community involvement.

In 2007-2009, Mark was a speaker at the Annual Honorable William H. Gindin Bankruptcy Bench-Bar Conferences.  Mark is also a Master for the Bankruptcy Inn of Court and is a member of the Lawyers Advisory Committee to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, currently serving as the Chair of the Chapter 11 Subcommittee.
