Matthew H. Lewis concentrates his practice in commercial disputes arising in a wide variety of contexts, from actions concerning regional family-owned businesses to multi-million dollar lawsuits between publicly-traded corporations. Much of his practice is in real estate related litigation, including specific performance actions, landlord-tenant disputes, perogative writ actions and disputes involving development projects and other real estate contracts. Matt also has extensive experience with banking and creditor-lender law, directors and officers liability, ERISA fiduciary litigation, and insurance law.
Matt appears frequently in the New Jersey state and federal courts, and has appeared in other jurisdictions as well. He has represented clients in matters ranging from applications for emergency injunctions to trials to appeals. He also has substantial arbitration and mediation experience.
