On October 30, 2007, environmental partner Dennis Krumholz will speak on the legal aspects of "NJDEP's Proposed Soil Remediation Standards" at Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (formerly Cook College). Attendees will learn:

  • Latest status on the rule adoption process for the proposed Soil Remediation Standards and related guidance and possible revisions to the Technical Requirements for Site Remediation.
  • Insight into potential revisions or modifications to the proposed Soil Remediation Standard regulations that are being evaluated by NJDEP.
  • A legal review of the potential implications of adoption of the proposed Soil Remediation Standards on transactional due diligence including the Order of Magnitude Re-opener.
  • In depth presentations by NJDEP for each of the major exposure pathways including Ingestion/ dermal contact; inhalation and Impact to Ground Water.
  • Technical presentations regarding new procedures and methodologies required including to address the inhalation pathway and the impact to groundwater pathway.
  • Expert insight into potential scientific and technical approaches to apply and demonstrate compliance with the proposed Soil Remediation standards.
