TRENTON, NEW JERSEY, January 3, 2004 Riker Danzig is pleased to announce that Arthur R. Sypek, Jr. has joined the firm's government affairs office in Trenton. Sypek, who joins the firm as counsel, is the Mercer County Counsel, was counsel to the successful election campaign of Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes and previously served as counsel to the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

"Arthur Sypek has spent 30 years shaping the political landscape and developing a comprehensive understanding of public policy in New Jersey. His expertise will help Riker Danzig maintain its position as a predominant force in government affairs in New Jersey," said John P. Sheridan, Jr., a partner in the firm and head of Riker's government affairs practice division. "Bringing Arthur Sypek to Riker Danzig continues a long tradition of hiring lawyers who have had extensive government service in order to provide our clients with the best advice possible when dealing with governmental issues."

Sypek will continue his practice in land use and planning and will also assist clients with legislative and administrative matters.
