Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP has been honored with a 2005 Corporate Philanthropy Award by The Community Foundation of New Jersey in recognition for the pro bono and charitable organization work with which the firm has been involved.

The firm was nominated by Family Service of Morris County, for which Riker Danzig partner Julian Wells sits on the Board of Managers. The Community Foundation of New Jersey recognized Riker Danzig and the other honorees at a cocktail reception and awards ceremony at The Newark Museum on Wednesday, November 2nd.

For over 120 years, Riker Danzig has focused on providing high-quality legal services to the business community. The firm actively encourages all of its attorneys to participate in pro bono work and consistently receives an A grade in the New Jersey Law Journa's annual survey of pro bono work performed by New Jersey law firms.

Founded in 1813, Family Service of Morris County offers support to families and individuals throughout the various stages of their lives through affordable counseling and family-strengthening programs. The agency specializes in serving three key populations: children and adolescents, families in transition and seniors and their caregiving family members.

The Community Foundation of New Jersey is a $125 million philanthropic organization that enables donors to provide on-going funding for charitable organizations across New Jersey and the country. The Foundation maintains a philanthropic network, over 25 years in the making, consisting of donors, non-profits, and community and state leaders.
