Geoff Gussis practices in Riker Danzig's Corporate and Intellectual Property Groups. He counsels clients on a full range of corporate and technology issues and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, software licensing and information technology. Geoff was formerly the President and General Counsel of Digital Demographics, Inc., a marketing and advertising services provider and, in his free time, publishes In House Blog, an online resource for in-house counsel.

Some of Geoff's recent transactions include:

• Represented multiple international software and services providers in negotiating and structuring diverse technology transactions involving Fortune 500 corporations, including software development, licensing and ASP agreements.

• Represented a leading provider of middleware applications in the negotiation of license and services agreements with domestic and multinational corporations.

• Represented Choice Media, Inc. in a series of acquisitions of health-related websites.

• Represented NYF Corp., a distributor of a wide variety of aerospace fasteners and other industrial hardware primarily to the military sector, in its approximately $68 million acquisition by B/E Aerospace, Inc., a leading aftermarket distributor of aerospace fasteners.

• Represented Federal Marketing Corporation, d/b/a Creative Homeowner, a leading publisher and distributor of home design and decorating books and related products, in its $37 million acquisition by Courier Corporation, a publicly-traded book manufacturer and specialty publisher.

• Represented Porky Products, Inc., the largest regional meat distributor in the northeastern U.S. and a national meat trading company, in its acquisition of a California-based meat trading company.

While pursuing his law degree, Geoff served as Associate Editor for the Washington University Law Review. His law review note, "Website Development Agreements: A Guide to Planning and Drafting," was reprinted in Bowne Publishing's "The Best in Ecommerce Law" in 2001. Geoff was named as a Rising Star by Law and Politics Magazine since 2006.
